Listening to WOL for the ROH/DestAm news and Bryan said that Rusev was hurt in a match against Ryback on Smackdown tapings and is probably off this card. Noted he was in a cast.

That's great news. It would have made no sense for him to appear in a major angle with Cena only to disappear back to NXT for a few months, maybe even another year, before resurfacing on the main roster.

Don't get me wrong, NXT is great and all, and Owens is especially great in his role there, but the purpose of it is supposed to be to build stars for Raw & SmackDown. Owens is ready now, so there's no sense in keeping him there exclusively for a prolonged period.
