Jarrett & his investors would be dumb right now to purchase TNA... He doesnt need TNA stink on GFW. He doesnt need the library, well I suppose for personal reasons he might want buy the rights to any TNA footage that he in for loose change but they shouldn't waste time figuring how to market the TNA Video Library, when they need to focus on the now.   As for the talent, They probably be able to get few higher price TNA talent like Roode, Storm for cheaper when/if TNA folds, why take on their TNA contracts instead?

TNA oversea markets is over rated..They would be traveling out of North Amaerica more and doing world tours more than once a year if they were really money makers. TNA been with Spike for years if they really had a problem with the amount that Spike promoted them they should have spoke up or left and found a network that was more to their liking.

    the latest....
Spike TV told PWTorch on Monday morning that there are "ongoing negotiations."

PWinsider.com asked representatives at Viacom, parent company of SpikeTV, for comment on the TMZ story that they had decided not to renew TNA Impact. We were told:

"Per Viacom company policy - we don’t comment on ongoing negotiations."

    Obviously, that would mean they are still in negotiations with TNA.;

    1:34 PM update.

TMZ reported earlier that Spike TV has broken off negotiations with TNA and would not be carrying Impact after the current contract expired in October.

Dixie Carter just tweeted the following in response to the story:

"Negotiations with @SpikeTV are ongoing. Stay tuned and be sure to tune in this Thursday night for Ultimate X on #ImpactOnSpike!!"

Obviously, she is refuting the TMZ story, which you can read below.

Also, TNA executive Bob Ryder tweeted:

"Reports are not true. Negotiations with @SpikeTV are ongoing."

    ***

TMZ.com is reporting that sources have informed them that Spike quietly canceled TNA Impact Wrestling "last week" and that TNA is looking for a new potential home for their series.

PWInsider.com has not independently confirmed that story but has reached out to sources within Spike and TNA requesting confirmation on the report. That said, the rumors regarding that status have been quietly making the rounds for several weeks.

I do know that several weeks ago, TNA was still negotiating with Spike. There is also a version of the story floating around that Dixie Carter informed TNA staff of the cancellation at a meeting earlier this week. While there was indeed a staff meeting on Wednesday 7/23, I am told nothing of the sort was stated and that the majority of it was discussion of strategies for the next three weeks of TV promotion.

TNA debuted on Spike on 10/1/05 as a one hour late-night series before expanding into a two hour series that eventually moved to a prime-time timeslot.

TNA's current deal takes them through October. Those episodes will be taped the first week of August at the Manhattan Center in NYC.

This past Thursday's episode was the highest audience for the series since April of this year.

for the reason you mentioned why would wwe buy the tna library,no way to market it.
plus nwa still holds the rights to early tna shows before the carters brought them(the weds ppvs and fsn shows)
now they are still in negotiations with spike so they still might be alive.
two things I see might help tna if they either move or stay with spike:
1.bring xplosion to us market, wwe has smackdown on scifi and main event on ion
(not to mention rebroadcast of raw and smackdown on spinach nbc/universal stations)
xplosion can be shown on another viacom network if its on spike, if not on spike then on sister network of the new one or syndication.
    2. have spin cycle moved from the net to tv it will help promote the show.

    WHAT?  Shocked
WWE could actually put the library on the WWE Network, throw in a best of Sting,Kurt Angle, Dudleys, Christian, etc dvds disks., They have enough employees that someone can deal with that stuff with out taking time away on another part of the businness.

When was the last time TNA actually put out a best of DVD out? TNA themself are probably only making a low amount from what they have with the youtube channell, are they even still doing that? Why would GFW buy the footage when it would probably take years to see a real profit from the footage. GFW need to spend all their moeny on their current product once(if) they get going.

LMAO, Xplosion & Spin Cycle aren't coming to SpikeTv or any other networks, would have been put the network on years ago when Impact would actually get over 1.5 million viewers most weeks not when they can only get 1 to 1.4 million a week at best.. looked at how long Reaction lasted... TNA will be lucky to get 2 hours from where ever...

Spike or any other Viacom networks hasn't bother to replay Impact in years(waits for Phoy to appear and post that on his cable system its always replayed in the middle of the night) why would they bother to put Xplosion & Spin Cycle on now?

Best guess is TMZ and everyone got the story right, but Spike doesn't want to have a show on the air for three more months when people know it's the end and TNA doesn't want other potential networks knowing Spike is out, makes sense for both sides to claim it's not a done deal, even though it likely is

Because we all know that TNA management and owners have never every out right lied to their audience in order to prevent a shit storm from happening, right?

Oh wait. TNA management and owners lying to their audience is just like WWE's Wrestlemania. It happens every year and it is a tradition.

It is true, Crazzy Steve recently signed a contract with TNA, presumably under the impression his character would not turn into a watered down version of what he had created. He also probably assumed this would be a step in the right direction for his career, long term. We don't need to go over his sanity again, do we?

I said this on facebook and I'll say here.
Monopoly in any business is bad thing. in order to survive in the business world you need competition.
when wwe brought out wcw and ecw they literately buried a hole for them selves.
then roh started getting attention so wwe had compete, then tna showed up and wwe steeped up a notch. I do not want to have another monopoly.
as bad TNA was/is it was wwe's main competition since ROH isn't shown everywhere.
if TNA goes so be it, I know GWF fill the void.

Dude, I don't know why you keep dropping your mic. I mean, you're posting in a thread. And unless you're using a speech to text program to do so, I'm not even sure why your mic is in your hand. Equipment can be pricey, man!

If we join the Force, we can find the hole. The competition will force Triple H to tell us where he buried it.

    LOL TNA

But seriously, going to be a weird situation if all those wrestlers suddenly become free agents in a short period of time.

my passion isn't with TNA its the wrestling business in general.
I loved to watching wrestling not what we have now but the way it used to be
back in the 80's when wwe (then wwf) not only had the main eventers but the small unknown wrestlers that jobbed with them like on superstars or whatever.
I mostly liked watching indie wrestling, growing up watching windy city pro wrestling at places like taste of stone park or on local tv stations or public acess. TNA early years had that the feel, then it copied wwe and went down hill.
it will take more then 100,000 to run the company there the same talk among Atari lovers
about buying atari when they filed bankruptcy few years ago but as mentioned it takes more they asked for too keep it running.
Even though ROH isn't televised everywhere people still get to see the shows on thier website
I suspect that might happen with TNA (remember when they left FSN and they had shows on realnet before spike) I can see them making deal with you tube for weekly live shows to be aired there until they find a tv spot as mentioned(they already show clips from the previous shows and have ppvs for sale as well) Global wrestling Force from JJ is another option to watch be it not untill 2015.

    I don't see it happening.
the truth is Ihaven't watched TNA lately because of shows on like the undateable on nbc or the other mid-season shows. plus at 9pm ct I mostly watch metv for bosom buddies.
and I'll prob watch the videos on you tube for recaps.
(the fact is since the shows are taped, I tend to read spoliers, and throws me off from watching the show) not to mention I'm unemployed thanks to safeway for closing the dominicks chain in il back in jan. where was people like lets buy dominicks crowdfunders when we need them.
