I've mostly given up on steam and accepted my fate in life as a console gamer.

I don't have a gaming PC, and when it came down to buying a PS4 or building a gaming PC, I just went with PS4. Could have got more power with a PC, but PS4 is gonna have games optimized to run on it, so who cares.

Which is why console gaming is still relevant.  One needs look no further than the garbage Watch Dogs port that is borderline broken in PCs that leave the PS4/Xbox One in the dust.

I enjoy PC gaming for the ridiculous DRM sales on Steam, Origin, GreenmanGaming, GOG and other sites.  I typically buy lots of older titles for under 10 dollars.  Also, for the most part these older titles run like a dream on PC instead of 25-30 FPS on PS3/Xbox.

I really wish I could afford to put together a nice and powerful PC, I'd totally get back into gaming if I could.
