There is a report that Ibushi is leaving NJPW and DDT to become a freelancer

Apparently he's starting something called the Ibushi Prowrestling Research Institute

Really bad timing on his part, but it kinda seems like he didn't give a shit about being in NJPW.

This news isnt helped by a really mediocre looking NJ Cup Night 1

    Tanahashi/Fale is main eventing... Other matches are yujiro/yano, kojima/honma, goto/nagata, elgin/tenzan, naito/yoshi hashi, makabe/tama tonga, evil/ishii

Just starting the show, the president is out with a few announcements

    1. Elgin is signed
    2. Shibata comes out and signs(presumably a full time deal)!!!! Shibata push might finally happen!!!!
    3. SUPER J CUP 2016!!!!!! In august featuring talent from NJPW, ROH, CMLL, some other promotions and Dragon Gate!!!! KUSHIDA, Taka and Marufji on hand for the announcement
    4. Some other announcement that I can't understand but has an animated picture of Okada and Tiger Mask staring each other down

All that being said this looks like a rough house for NJPW, tons of open seats though the house lighting may make it look worse

Yup they saved the big one for last haha

Show was actually pretty good, really dug the tag match, nagata/goto and evil/ishii, also thought yoshi-hashi stepped up today

so we have Fale/Big Mike, Tonga/Goto, Kojima/Yano, and Ishii/Naito as the quarter finals

guessing Elgin/Goto, Kojima/Naito as the semis and Goto/Naito finals? Maybe a sneaky Big Mike win?

Really good main event, not much else really worth going out of your way to see

    Invasion Attack looks to be

    Okada v Naito
    Shibata v Kojima
    Honma/Makabe v Tama/Camacho(sigh)
    Ospereay v Kushida
and I think the Bucks v Ricochet/Sydal but not sure if that's official
maybe Ishii/Evil for the ROH TV Title

Overall looks like a really great show with more to be added with whatever Kenny/Tana and Elgin are doing

Two notes from the show, Goto finally shook Okada's hand, not sure if that means he's full fledged CHAOS but I think he is

and originally Naito said he wasn't challenging Okada in April but when he felt the timing was right, Okada then called him a chicken and told him to challenge him at IA and he agreed, so it's been speculated that he might use a loophole of not using his NJ Cup challenge for the shot so he gets another one at Dominion

It's weird watching The Elite with no commentary because you can hear all the crazy shit they say during the match, I'm pretty sure at one point in today's 6 man tag Matt Jackson said "let's rock out with our wieners out guys"

    but a super fun match

Forgot how great the KUSHIDA/O'Reilly match was, just flipping incredible and I thought this was the best JR has been on the show as well

    GREAT GREAT SHOW!!!!!!!

Nothing was bad, and the only thing that dragged was the tag title match

Ospereay v KUSHIDA and RPG v Sydal/Ricochet were both great, the 6 man was crazy, Shibata/Tenzan was good and the main event was something else, so happy Naito's really found himself in this character

OH MAN... The end of the show, interesting

this was the first time i was really glad i had the english commentary, because i would have had no idea that was Senada.

But yea this was a really good show. better under card then usual, set up a lot of stuff going forward, awesome main event with a great crowd.

PWTorch has learned that international star Will Ospreay has signed with New Japan Pro Wrestling.

Ospreay was working on a handshake agreement when he made his debut at the Invasion Attack PPV on April 10.

The MLW twitter tweeted WWE and two other organizations were also pursuing the young British standout.

    BOSJ entry

    A Block
    KUSHIDA
    Taguchi
    O'Relly
    Sydal
    Romero
    Gedo
    BUSHI
    Matt

    B Block
    Liger
    Tiger
    Bobby
    Barretta
    Nick
    Ricochet
    VoladorJr

BOSJ Looks sick, Kushida/Kyle rematch, Ricochet/Ospereay/Volador matches, should be a great tournament
